I Got Laid…..Off

Yes it has been a while since I posted.  And remember form my earlier post about job listings, in which I said I was gainfully employed?  Turns out that as of this past Friday, I am not.  I was laid off.  While on vacation.  Isn’t that nice?

Well, it could have been worse, and I will be maintaining a relationship with the company as a subcontractor.  A lot of people might be angry and tell the people that tossed me out of a job to go f#$k themselves, but I figure, hey, if they are going to offer, I’ll take more of their money.

So that’s that.  I’ll try to keep posting, since I kind of let this go the last couple of weeks.

On the plus side, my vacation to New England for a family member’s wedding was wonderful (except for the layoff news of course - but I tried not to let that ruin it).  We are seriously considering moving up there when law school is over in 2009.  It is just beautiful.  If you have never visited New England, I highly recommend it.

    I was saddened (and surprised!) to hear about this last week. I’m glad they are able to keep you on as a subcontractor though — the rumor-mill left that part out. Does that mean you’ll still be stopping by the office now-and-then?

    By the way, you showing off your fountain pens last week finally got me motivated — I just received my silver Namiki Pilot Knight today :-).
